Dr. Rosso's Legacy

Dr. Rosso stands among our most distinguished professionals, a pioneer in mental healthcare for underserved communities. After leaving academic research at Johns Hopkins and completing his medical residency at Harvard University, he dedicated his career to advancing community well-being. In the early 1970s, he launched transformative urban programs supporting families affected by drug abuse and collaborated with leading charity organizations to build lasting systems of care.

Our Mission

Inspired by Dr. Rosso’s legacy, we strive to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with chronic diseases and intellectual or developmental disabilities. Through advocacy, rehabilitation, job placement, and direct support, we promote dignity, independence, and lasting well-being.

Our Humanitarian Commitment

In the past, our humanitarian mission centered on saving lives and easing suffering through compassionate, non‑forcible action. We work to restore people’s ability to rebuild their lives and communities emotionally, psychologically, and beyond.
As part of this effort, we donate books and weighted blankets to children’s hospitals, offering comfort and reassurance to children and parents facing uncertainty. Each gesture carries a simple message: you are not alone, and we are here for you.

How You Can Support Our Mission

Essential supplies

Currently, we need help setting up and optimizing funding to purchase necessary supplies, nonperishable foods, calming blankets, and hygge products. We are constantly in need of these supplies for our rural areas.

Technology needs

We are in need of purchasing technology (computers and tablets) that will be provided to our members for a 6-week workshop. By embedding technology into our workshop platform, we will be able to give the necessary tools for their health support from a distance during this pandemic, plus prevent transportation difficulties.
